Standardized test scores are another measure of success. Year after year, CDS students have outperformed their independent school peers and consistently rank among the highest in the nation on standardized tests. When you see these types of results, you realize it’s hard to beat a CDS education.

Sometimes called “social and emotional skills,” “noncognitive traits and habits,” even “grit,” 21st century skills are the nonacademic but essential life skills not directly measured by standardized test scores or any traditional measure of achievement. At CDS, they include the following:
