School-Wide Volunteer Opportunities

Carpool Volunteer

Help with carpool during student drop-off from 7:55-8:15 am. This is a great way to get to know other parents and the children at the school. Parents can sign up for one day per week, or as a substitute. Free before hours care is available for the children of carpool volunteers.

School Auction

Our annual auction is organized and run by CDS parents and volunteers. Volunteers are needed for strategic event planning and management, event promotion, operational support, decorating, and hospitality efforts.

Spring Family Picnic

Our picnic is fun for the whole family! Volunteers are needed for planning, set-up, catering, entertainment and cleanup.

Conference Day Luncheons

Twice a year on conference days, parents show their appreciation to the faculty, administration and staff by preparing and serving lunch. If cooking is not your forte, there is always a need for set-up and clean-up.

The CDS Board of Trustees

These dedicated volunteers unite to set strategic direction and future plans for the school. Our Board of Trustees possesses a wide range of expertise and shares a deep commitment to CDS and its mission. Supporting the Head of School and working alongside the faculty and administration, the board ensures the smooth operation of our school as an independent, non-profit corporation.
