Welcome from the President of the Board

It is my pleasure to serve as President of the Chesterfield Day School Board of Trustees for the 2010/2011 school year. The Board of Trustees works to ensure Chesterfield Day School is doing its best to fulfill its mission of providing a personalized education of unparalleled excellence for students of diverse backgrounds. Specific responsibilities of the Board of Trustees include:

Ensuring the long-term financial stability of the school
Development and monitoring of the strategic plan
Hiring, supporting, and evaluating the Head of School

The Board of Trustees consists primarily of current CDS parents, but also includes past parents, past students, and other "at-large" members from the St. Louis and surrounding community. In addition to the President, the Executive Committee of the Board is comprised of the Vice President, Daniel Cuevas, M.D., Treasurer, Mr. Frank Latuda, and Secretary, Ms. Kathy Wunderlich.

As a Board of Trustees, we want to ensure that Chesterfield Day School meets the needs of its students and families through its dedication to academic excellence and the development of character in its students. I am proud to be able to serve the school in this capacity and thank you for your interest in our nationally recognized school.
