Terra was born and raised in Chino, California. She was recruited for a softball scholarship and attended college in Hawaii, where she met her husband Rob. Rob and Terra dated for 10 years and married in 1999. Terra finished her education at Kansas State University (Go Wildcats!!) and began teaching high school Spanish at Gateway Academy in St. Louis. The Levins moved to Telluride, Colorado, where Terra taught preschool-6th grade Spanish at the Telluride Mountain School. After the birth of their daughter Maggie, they moved to Denver, where Terra taught middle school Spanish at St. Mary's Academy. During this time, they were blessed with their second daughter Lizzie. Shortly after her birth, they returned to St. Louis and Terra stayed home with the girls until teaching again, this time at CDS. The Levins have camped all over the midwest and south, and they enjoy fishing, hiking, and biking. During the summer, they enjoy watching their daughters play a variety of sports. They are a close family and are so thankful and proud to be part of the CDS family.
